How can I be unaware?

Unaware?

I once got an email that read as follows:

There are 10 types of people, those that understand the binary number system and those that don't.

If you understand the binary numbering system, you understand the statement above.  But if you don't, the statement above makes absolutely no sense.  Let me explain:

The zero in the number above is in the ones place.  It shows how many ones you have; in this case zero.  You are used to that.  But in the binary numbering system the one is not in the tens place, but rather in the twos place; in this case you have one two.  So with an understanding of the binary number system the statement would be read as follows:

There are two types of people, those that understand the binary number system and those that don't.

Paul told us "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." 1st Corinthians 2:14

Solomon told us to "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil."  Proverbs 3:5-7

It is important that we not allow our human perspective to stand in the way of the truths of the Bible.  To often we read scripture from a worldly carnal perspective.  We don't understand the "binary" numbering system so we come to the wrong conclusions as to the message of the scripture.

So how do we know that we know, to be sure we are aware!  Jesus said "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." Luke 11:9-10

So we ask, being sure that we are not leaning on our own understanding, being sure that we always acknowledge that God directs our path.
